Bump Bump while I'm on my grind, grind...

Thought I'd share this vid with you guys...its part of the Paypal advert video(promoting the Paypal iphone bump app.) I forgot to push and promote. I placed it on my facebook left it and saw it got 100 plus views in a short while. nice. well I never got that amount of views, Pathetic maybe. But have a look and vote guys, the competition's not that thick so it would be cool to get that no. 1 spot. Here's the link. See it, Like it, vote for it!

On another note...my youtube channel : /bluntspearanimation - has got some of my most recent work. be sure to check out Candy Rose's music video You Are Everything and a contest I entered for AOTP's Agony Fires. That's that hardcore ish. Currently working with Fu of Media Syntax to revamp my website (for the last time, godamnit). More news on that to come. And I'll be placing links about the major stuff ive been doing on there as well, give y'all the scoop.

Sum up,
lunch time on a bleak bank break (mmm, consonance).

M & S just got Blunted (hopefully).

M & S. The Marks and Spencers. You know, the people that made that ad with the hot black french chick in underwear. Mm. But are they financial supporters of Israel jingoism? 'Higher' quality products for even higher prices?

Well, I don't know about all of that...but helped out with a pitch Pretzel Films (pretzelfilms.com) is putting forward to them. Something about being able to view your payslips online...I don't know. It was done in the style of Sliding Doors, but screen is split down the middle, one showing a woman looking for a payslip the old way, and the more easy, efficient computerised M & S approach. Consisted of 4 panel story art, in colour, something that should have taken me just a few hours...took longer, as being a story artist... changes keep popping up.

Funny thing is, the first chick I drew (protagonist) was your typical model-type, happy, white and not a care in the world. But one of the criticisms was she was too Barbie-like- she should be 30 something with 2 kids, less shapely etc. And they sent me to M & S site to look at examples of their business suits to draw on her. But take a look on M & S's site, they do not cater to the ordinary woman... anything outside the model-20 something-long hair-lightskin- toned scope was none existent. That is M&S target audience, people that look like that or people vain enough to want to look like that. And I know you're thinking, 'what about that mature chick in the ad...she wasn't 20 s0mething?' Yeah, but she was famous, well as 'famous' as anyone can get in Britain. This is just an observation.

Have a look at sketches I did (before the woman was a man):
And one of the finished panels

I used a screen shot of my iMac for the desktop- had to clear all the porn off first of course.

The Sum up,
work experience, minus the bullsh*t

Up in Smoke (The beginning)

Indeed. New to this so im sure you all will ease me into this transition. I've got to remain diligent at this... promise weekly visits, bi-weekly they call it. What do you expect to read... well what I'm up to. Ill keep rants to a minimum (unlikely). Any news a freelancer or graduate would find useful. And if you're in the same profession I'm in, you'll find that the freelancer's life is like that of a gangster: You move up the ranks, do grunt work until you get a name for yourself and when the bosses cheat you out of pay, you visit them at their home, duct tape their infant daughter to sofa and break her knee caps with a hammer until they cave. Nice.
Ill post some stuff ive been doing recently, from images, animation, film... poetry... everything that I have my DNA entwined in.

The sum up,
Im tired, hungry but glad I got this blog thing started.
