Designing seems to be the hot chick in school at the moment and I'm getting some side-boob. Album art for Candy Rose, i think it's an EP. A little Photoshop witchery but I think it turned out ok.

Story/Art work for the beginning of 2011

Uploading can be such an ugly process. The wait, the disconnections. This should have been done by Friday but today is Monday, and the bar is at 49%. Whoop-di-woo. But I am being constructive and putting a post up.
 HOY is done and rightfully so, its awesome edit.
Also, been storyboarding till my fingers are exposed bone. Finished boards for "Reunion" went over quite well and just finishing up the boards for Scru Love's NASA. All in the terror wrist. Disseminating my brand of propaganda to everyone.

Bloody.

Also did some Production Art for a pitch. Quite fitting seeing its Black History Month.

Welcome Back

I have just realised that the project I'm currently working on is the first story art I've rendered for the new year. Go figure. It's for a short film, met the director/producer and she loves the first render. It's your Rec/ Cloverfield type film, so POV camera etc. Then again I'm not sure if she's directing this one, its a team of people.  Did the first pages of the script Reunion, andd its A-ok. Just need to churn the rest out in a week or so.

Anyways, the Candy Rose video is Fin. finally and fantastically so, now the rush to export and deliver begins. Giving you all the link when its up. Also planning to do a music vid for Scru Love N.A.S.A. Currently doing pre-production, storyboards. so hold tight, comrades. It will soon be over.

Loose Ends

Two things have been on my plate recently. Finishing a music video, and rewriting a script. The script I've been working on I must say has grown wings and has become a lot uglier. If it gets made, well, let's just say I wouldn't really show it to many of the people I know personally in fear of being judged. But then I'd remember I busted my ass off working on the script so I would let them see it anyway. I promise next week I'll have more to talk about and show then. Favela my Nuggah (Stinkmeaner nuggah!)

Im back, on the grind once again, dear friends. I had to do some back pedalling, reason being my laptop decided to malfunction on me....couldn't access photoshop or word, pissed. So I played Yahweh and started anew. Backed up most of the tings but I know I erased something I shouldn't. Started drawing frames for the Candy rose vid, and it looks good. This week I'm going in on the deep end. Animatic done as well. It's looking good and I'm up. I'm really up.

Background images are coming along fine as well, doing a favela scene "Thank you C.O.D." Lots of little details for a 4 sec clip. I'm about a third done. Actually did more work before I posted this so its 2/3 done. Behold:

Working and trying to keep busy. my only distraction seems to be me and COD. but I'll be burning the midnight oil.

Candy Rose "Hooked On You" Background Art

Been busy creating background art for the new music vid. for Candy Rose's Hooked On You. Some ways to go but have begun the long excursion:

Did images in photoshop and this will be the look of the background images. Was thinking of just using photos and videos, but though it would fail to give the animated music video an artistic render. More work obviously needs doing. But I'm getting to it. Leechers had to be given the back seat for now. And to think I was all psyched to get to do an unpaid internship.

This one is short. Scru-Love has an album online out now- Imaginary Friends. If it doesn't slap you into early 90's Nostalgia, then you've truly lost your inner child. 80's synth, 90's flavour, 00's bravado. Good looking! It's time people started supporting the independent movement. I'd rather listen to something new than these mainstream commercial whores that pass as musicians nowadays. I should know cause I've done work for some of them in one capacity or the other.  If your campaign strongest point isn't music but a gimmick like Auto-tune, you don't deserve any respect. Support real music, Support Scru-Love!

On the other hand, starting preproduction on Candy's last of a trilogy music video Hooked On You, so feeling the pressure already, will put up couple boards/animatic up as soon as. Psyched cause im bringing out the lightbox and paper for this one.
