Starling Bank "Bank Anywhere" Storyboards

© Starling Bank 'Bank Anywhere' Storyboard. Artwork by Dulani Wilson. All rights reserved to respective owners

Check it out! Storyboards I did for the Starling Bank "Bank Anywhere" ad. It was a little bit of back and forth with this project if I remember correctly. Small stuff like location changes and logistical stuff like swapping coffees for juices, interior/exterior shots etc.

In the end, we got there. Plus, ended up having to design the magazine spread that was printed and used as a prop in the final ad.

Production via Ekstasy.

Check out the side-by-side storyboard comparison below:

Sum up,

It's... it's a lot.

Mitchum "Live The Moment" Storyboards

This project is slightly a bitter-sweet one. As you can probably glean from the music festival themes, most of the storyboards I did for the Mitchum "Live The Moment" was done pre-March 2020. Fun times.

Nevertheless, the moral of being present in the present still rings true, even if we aren't living it up with friends getting caked with mud and breathing in each other's essences while we dance to the morning light.

But I digress. Check out the storyboard art for the ad! And remember, hygeine's important, even if you are stuck inside.

Sum up,

Can we get 2021 started?

Mondoro "Beautiful Elevation" Storyboards 🥂🍾

Technically, I've been just a little less busy than usual, though most of my busy has been a 'paid' busy. Now quarantine has people thinking they can approach me like its Credit Crunch / 2009 again. Not cool, bro. My family also eats food that requires money. Who'd have thunk?

In any case, I did forget to flog this up on me blogs. I did another one of those storyboards/ad comparisons. This one I did for Mondoro via Mr. White. So if you like your sparkling wine and Italian architecture, then you should get a kick out of this brand film.

Assembly for Dummies ⛺

2020 has been a slow burner. Understandably, creative types oft get this at the beginning of the year. Everyone is just about now starting to perform at optimum efficiency, getting on top of lingering projects, chasing leads and answering emails.

So a few projects, mainly in the ad department. So thought I'd share a random unused frame. What ever could they be attempting to build? A source of clean energy? Skynet? An ergonomic enema machine? Are the instructions in German?

Check out the storyboard frame:

Pyramid Scheming

Had a bit of a storyboard gig for a rum brand and whilst, obviously, it's a work in progress, thought I'd share this unused frame.

Definitely want to visit Guatemala and the pyramids one day. Heard a lot of 'this is Sparta', Kano-heart-stealing ish went on with those high priests.

Anywho, check it, little sketchy scampy scamp:

MMXIX: The Showreels

www.bluntspear.com
www.bluntspear.com

I have truly neglected this blog, haven't I? Well, to shoot myself some bail, TheActionPixel.com is a relentless, unforgiving beast. That and adulting. Boy, did my parents not warn me about adulting. But hey, now that we got the weak excuses out of the way, thought I'd share what I've been up to last. And well that was editing my showreel. Showreels, in fact.

I decided to go on a bit of a revamp workwise and needed to update my showreel, for storyboard and motion graphics. And it's a doozy. Compared to my 2009 showreel. Oh the difference a decade makes.

Check them out below:

Let me know what you think?! Sum up, Almost forgot the format for this blog. But hey, let's see how I get on with this thing.

Hey people. Recent storyboards I did for a promo vid for Johnnie Walker. How to mix a Godfather drink 🍹. Real easy if you have like three hands. Also did other versions (Old Fashioned I believe). Via Hangar Seven.

Check out the end result. Pretty suave.

Sum up,
TAP. S&B. Nothing has changed except I'm finally back in that scriptwriting groove.

Order's up Storyboard frames

Did some story art a while back for a pitch on a  food ad. Can't remember the brand. But it didn't get the go ahead with the director. But thought I'd share a few of the frames anyway.

Check it:

It's always a challenge to work as fast as possible but to keep an image's form and make it look interesting. Something that gets difficult especially if you weigh yourself down by thinking how much you have to get through and changes are being made repeatedly. But it helps to do scamps and get stuff signed off on just so everyone's on the right page.

Lesson for you boarders. Scamps my seem like extra drawing, but it'll make your work so much easier as you've broken the complexity of structure down without dedicating to much time in details.

What do you guys think of the images. Let me know in the comment section.

Sum up,
You're all cordially invited when the hard drive comes. I'm pissed off as it is, but I'll hold my tongue.

Ground control to Major Tom...

It's been a busy few weeks storyboarding a few projects for a few people/production houses.

Thought I'd share an unused frame from one of 'em

Check it out, soccer fans!

I think it's a satellite still orbiting earth hailing from that penalty shot David Beckham took at Euro all those years ago.

The Disappeared storyboards

Did some quick boards a while back for a short film  for Guy Logan about a story surrounding 'The Troubles' back when Ireland was 'bout it bout it' aka 'bout that life'. Hence the title The Disappeared

Pre-Viz Storyboards: Missing Planes, Scientists and Kidnappings

Hey peoples! How goes you. Thought I would quickly share some boards I did for a friend Stil Williams who's currently over at MPC. He needed them for a more pre-viz exercise and thought I'd lend a hand. So if you like clandestine lairs, shady organised crime and conspiracies and high profiled kidnappings then this definitely for you:

So... much work. Doing some boards for blueprint.tv plus a series to launch on the BBC. And my sisters site... it's like being in the trenches with half a banana clip and no air support in the foreseeable future

Draft Boards for a Mining Company's website

It's been slightly a good start to 2014. Well good as it could ever be. Soo been busy with a few things. Been working on few things for blueprint.tv, and of course there was the www.bluntspear.co.uk renovation. Check out some of the work I have up there.

For now, thought I'd share a frame from the draft boards I did for UI interface for a mining company in Sierra Leone:
