Thought it wouldn't hurt to show some of the concept art I recently did for a feature I've been brought on to. Will be storyboarding it as well. Pin my medal of valour high on my chest. Let's go to war. IED placed under a narrow dirt road....wait for it....then KABOOM!
Layers on layers, colour, tone, light, multiply, add, linear light. 9 images in the space of 4 days. All in all good stuff.
Spent too much time looking for pictures of methlabs. I'm probably on a law enforcement database somewhere.
I'm back. Literally just finished 9 production drawings for a feature film in the works. Feeling great, as boards are to follow. More on that later. As you may have guessed, can't go into more details, oh, sometimes working in film makes you feel like a spy. Images though are top heavy, can't wait to really dig in.
Anywho, Doc Heads' presents presently got the go ahead, so expect some filmy doccy class on current. That aside you'll see some o' my GFX... having designed the logo donkey years ago helps as well. Lesson to the wise, always put out the best at that particular moment in time, whether you are working for fee or free. Look at the ad space for the program:
Starts September, 25th 9 pm. Sundays. Gotta love it. Good job Tristan.
Sum up,
Production drawings are awesome, Harbinger the ebook is Live on Amazon, iBooks, Reader and Nook. Good stuff, busy month ahead.
Thought I'd see what it is about. Definitely more artist orientated, although I did find having to save as jpg a bit annoying. But you get over that quickly when you see some of the really cool artwork that is up there. Hopefully I can add to it. Check it out: www.society6.com/bluntspear
Sum up,
4 x 1 relay. Jamaica stand up. Too hot to stop.
Been working on some GFX for a pilot of a documentary series. It's stemming from very humble beginnings: it's based on a documentary screening event held in Brick Lane called Doc Heads (every month or every other month I believe) by Tristan, Andy and a few slew of others. Great hosts, and seems that a possible tv segment is in the cards, having got quite a healthy following from the event. Proud of em. The bulk of the gfx work is done. The show will be called Doc Head Presents, promises to be filled with all that indie goodness. Mmm, advancement with a hint of defiance. Working around the concept of the 'Guerilla Filmaker'- anti-everything. Just so long as we aren't confined by the ethnocentric sensibilities of 'elite' film snobbery. Sorry its hunting for that story, whatever the issue. Never mind a budget. Anywho, first render of the ident:
What is more anti-establishment and artistic than graffiti? Brought it up in AE, made it look like it was sprayed on. Hopefully the pitch goes through smoothly.
