Minx, Ant-Man and The Wasp, and Honey + Lemon

Have you guys seen the Ant-Man And The Wasp trailer! Absolutely banging! But how the do Paul Rudd like that? Can you imagine him with wings? Nah, me neither. Not exactly the most graceful. Recovering from a flu-filled January. Okay universe, nice one bro. A few bees and lemon trees had to work overtime to produce what I consumed this month to soothe my symptoms. Wouldn't wish that on anybody. Bleh.

PIMA + the Process of Progress

Tomorrow's a new day. Yeah well, haven't been myself. Partly due to the god awful news in Manchester and the cretins that will be sure to benefit from the tragedy by using it to spout their disrespectful respective bullshit. So trying my best to techno-detox at the moment.

So tomorrow sees me starting some new storyboard work for a particular YouTube channel. Should be good. Spent the last week, however, doing design for thepima.org. Talking elements for the website, business cards, newsletter templates, information packs... all o' that.

Minxing things up

Forgot to drop this one. Recently did some design work for artiste Minx. Known here for a while now and she's doing big things touring and all the shebang and she needed some stickers designed to further promote her brand.

Did a preliminary sketch based on what she was after and moved from there:

From there, it was a few tweaks:

Turned out well, me thinks. Be sure to check out the lovely lady and her music. Has a song with the Mr. MFN Exquire. Nice.

Guess who's back...

Hey, dudes and dudettes! Thought it best to dust off the ol' blog, let the people of the interweb know what the Due's been up to. at the moment, well... Not a whole lot. Well from the usual corporate, looking for follow-up projects, tying up loose end personal projects. Whoa is the life of the freelance.

starting circa tomorrow will be posting more, including so stuff I'm currently working on for a sports charity, plus what's happening with The Action Pixel brand - especially the blog and the store✌🏿️!

Reunion Flyer design

Hey gang,
Swarmed with work this and next week. Most of it has been spent working on storyboars for Breville ads and drawing a humanoid chicken. As you do. Feels like I could use an extended holiday. Most recently, I did some quick flyers for a high school reunion. Alpha Girls chapter in MIA. Also one for Tarrant High School.

Which made me think how much would a reunion at my high school suck. Mainly because I'm still that awkward guy who'd rather draw than gossip about inconsequential bull.

Car DVD Cover Design

Did a little DVD cover for a short film, to which I did story art for as well. Long story, but check it out! Used stills from the clip, bit simple, particularly the back with text, but it's to client specification:

Beer, Nuts and the Fugly at the bar.

So much things to post, so little time. Let's start with this. Recently had a bout of Skype and Facebook convos with Pedge and Rosetta, hosts of the infamous Social Crime Radio (socialcrime.com) Funny, funny guys. Their internet radio channel keeps me sane through the day, listening to stand up comedic greats like George Carlin, Chris Rock, Patrice Oneal, Eddie 'Raw' Murphy and Richard Pryor.

After hours just chatting I ended up telling him I was ok with the Ps and I did a title page/video for a recording of a segment of their show; Pedge singing a rather articulate, thought-evoking medley entitled:

Never Say Never: CD cover design

Never Say Never. No Bieber, this is not an ad space, so sit your ass down, and stop talking about how great your prepubescent, mindless fans are. It's the title of Gevano's EP. Dwight, the Exec Producer and long time friend of the family needed some design work for the artist's promo cd cover/ tattoo skin. Now imagine if the photos given to me were of the highest quality:
