PIMA + the Process of Progress

Tomorrow's a new day. Yeah well, haven't been myself. Partly due to the god awful news in Manchester and the cretins that will be sure to benefit from the tragedy by using it to spout their disrespectful respective bullshit. So trying my best to techno-detox at the moment.

So tomorrow sees me starting some new storyboard work for a particular YouTube channel. Should be good. Spent the last week, however, doing design for thepima.org. Talking elements for the website, business cards, newsletter templates, information packs... all o' that.

STAK'S How We Roll: The Pelvic Grind of the Urban Creatives

Yours truly and Remi King did some shooting on Monday...or was it Tuesday? Music Video time, got help from a cool team of people. Stak's How We Roll is the video and Remi, with some aid from me came up with a cool narrative that ended up getting scrapped so we went out on a strong, performance video. Well, because I am terrible with names (Hugh and Jack I believe) you can see their lovely faces:



All in all great laughs, great talks. I know I will be seeing em again. Video is going through a rigorous edit session Friday/Saturday, so should be completed soonish then we do the rounds- TVchannels and all that jazzy jazz.

You know that weird state of being where someone shows contempt but tries everything to get your attention to the fact they still exist? Never understood that. Anyways, I have one thing to say to the Creatives out there...'create'. For better for worse. Chaos or harmony. Simply be.

Labours of the Week

This week...been quite busy. Too many things to remember. Just thought i'd slot this entry to keep true to my vows. Storyboarding a cute short for some dudes somewhere in the UK [I say 'cute' because the have those carbon copy curs you call children, and 'somewhere' because they are outside LANDAN]. Well get it while it's hot, dirtbags! It won't be free for long. Matter of fact it isn't. Just feeling real generous and brushing off the dust off the pen But that's the least important of my week's events.

Had to build a holder page for One More Sun, a Film Picture company for long time Creative General Brian Taylor and conjured up a logo out of the deep recesses. Aparrently Mr. Taylor liked it, even said many of his industry friends said it was real unique and professional grade. Flick of the wrist, click of the mouse. And I am not even a Graphic Designer if you were to judge me by my University qualifications. Not haughty, just a matter of fact. Have a look at the holder page I uploaded, just something to put on the front end until something more permanent is erected:

And in meeting up with the General we also discussed my script we are working on; he gave suggestions and it has already evolved into a behemoth. I'm almost worried my friends with have me admitted or become overly worried. More soon.

Ooo, yes. Check out Slick Flicks, doing some comic/photo work for Maria, it's founder from Romania. Cool lady, and she has revitalised my lust for the graphic novel. Solomon Kane anyone?

Currently working on a photostory. Something to do with Justin Beiber. Yeah, don't ask. I just found out who this 'craze' is- shows I'm becoming an old man. Then even young, I was never one to jump on the bandwagon. No offense intended.

Do It Yourself- Philosophical Masturbation

Saturday was a real pain in the ass. DIY. Bed. upstairs, downstairs. desemble, reassemble. Lifting. Bending, hunger pains, shish, Allens head, philips head, screw this, screw that, screw you. Facebook, subliminal sparring with a mental midget, taking hours to assemble one chair (instructions and illustrations were utter rubbish. But its done. :) and I'm resting.

Bout to get sum dinner boy. I'm also happy cause even in the confusion I helped erect a bed, dining table and just about finished my sisters site ( just a bit more coding etc needed, nothing major).

A few promising meeting this week and next. One- storyboarding, two- editing. Ill let you know.

Oh Remi got that Sweet short filmed...he says it's 90% shot. I say that's 100% awesome. Cant wait to see post production.

Getting Blunted (straight piff!)

Hey dudes,

What's up...hell yeah, it's all good, taking in this sun. F*ck yeah. Yesterday was cool, went got some food, rice and peas, jerk chicken... Fu gave some leasons on that HTML, CSS sh*t... yeah, finally getting the hang of it,,, seeing the logic behind all that code. "Whoa, I know kung-fu". Revelational stuff. Currently doing a shit course...CIW Web design... a panic course I started in the midst of the credit crunch climate (consonance number 3). But at the very least, when I need to promote a film, Ill be able to build something functional meng. Provided I finish the goddamn thing. Started 2009... havent fully jumped the 2nd hurdle...there are 4 main hurdles. But it will be done...just had to pay some bills, make that guap, dineros, wonga (what a stupid slang), paper, stacks. Breakfast/lunch time and i'm hungry. Anyone buying? Currently designing my sister's site...top a top chef, Managing director of her own culinary/cake decorating business...ill give y'all the link when it is done. Any way, did the Sweet boards in the nick of time. Ill show you first one I did., yeah, here ya go:
